Should I take a baby aspirin prior to coronary artery bypass grafting?

Preoperative aspirin administration prior to coronary artery bypass has a significant benefit in reducing the incidence of perioperative myocardial infarction and 30-day mortality. Interact Cardiovasc Thorac Surg. 2016 Oct 4;:

Comment: Aspirin at 100 mg a day or higher increased the risk of postoperative bleeding, blood transfusion and re-operation. However, important to note is that low-dose aspirin (under 100 mg a day) did not increase complication rate. It appears beneficial to start patients on a baby aspirin prior to bypass surgery.
