Long-term effects of exercise and amino acid supplementation on muscle mass, physical function and falls in community-dwelling elderly Japanese sarcopenic women: A 4-year follow-up study.

Participation by the elderly in an exercise and nutritional supplementation program was found to help prevent declines in lower extremity muscle mass, strength and mobility, factors all thought to be important in preventing falls in the elderly.  (Geriatr Gerontol Int. 2015 Feb 5.)
